Description
The Tillandsia streptophylla is nicknamed the Shirley Temple due to its tightly curling leaves. This xeric air plant native to Mexico, Central America, & the West Indies thrives in low humidity climates. The drier the conditions, the tighter the leaves will curl. When blooming, the purple flowers can attract hummingbirds.
This particular air plant needs bright light and less frequent waterings than other air plants, and dunking/misting watering methods are recommending as opposed to soaking.
