This newer cultivar of this Bromiliaceae comes straight from the state of Hidalgo in Mexico and features brilliantly silver leaves and prominent spines on its slender leaves. This is an impressive container plant. 

Gerrardanthus macrorhizus is a slow growing perennial climbing plant with a nice showy caudex.  Plant might not have as many leaves as pictured depending on the season.

Drimiopsis saundersiae 'Sunny Smile' has wide soft low growing leaves. The leaves are covered in a striped and dotted pattern, each leaf has a unique look. This plant is fun to propagate and grow.

Sempervivums are low growing succulent rosettes, and can easily cluster and outgrow a container in the right conditions. This 'Oddity' variety has uniquely quilled edges and dark purple or black tips.
